Step into the world of practical sustainability and modern living. In East Auckland, a recent project has seamlessly woven together solar power, electric vehicle charging, and intelligent energy storage. Here’s a straightforward exploration of how these technologies are reshaping residential energy use.
The power supply at this residential property in East Auckland, New Zealand is distributed from a solar system that supplies power across the whole property while powering an EV charger.
Installation
The backbone of this solar system lies in the SolaX X-ESS G4, a game-changer in energy storage in NZ. With a remarkable one-hour charging time, the Triple Power battery system not only stores excess solar energy efficiently but also guarantees 100% utilisation of daily solar power. This energy storage system not only saves money on power bills but also ensures uninterrupted power supply during grid failures, due to the emergency backup capability of the batteries.
At the heart of this residential power hub is a 13kW solar system comprising of the following energy devices:
32x 415W panels
The SolaX X-G4-ESS comprises a 6kW inverter and a 6kW battery system, which not only powers the entire property but also fuels the Wallbox Pulsar Plus EV charger. The excess solar power generated during the day is fed back into the grid, earning credits and further contributing to a sustainable, cost-effective energy ecosystem.
Motive
The motivation behind this transformation was driven by a homeowner's desire for energy autonomy, reduced power bills, and a smaller carbon footprint. By harnessing the sun's power and utilising innovative solar technology in New Zealand, SolarPulse has not only met but exceeded these expectations, creating a resilient and eco-friendly energy solution tailored to the unique needs of East Auckland residents. This installation serves as a shining example of how sustainable practices can be seamlessly integrated into everyday life, powering homes and EVs alike while contributing to a greener future.
